Samsung 990 EVO 1 TB is an internal 1 TB SSD using PCIe 4.0 x4 or PCIe 5.0 x2, NVMe 2.0 in the M.2 2280 format. The manufacturer rates sequential reads up to 5000 MB/s and writes up to 4200 MB/s. The endurance rating for this capacity is 600 TB. It is suited to operating systems, applications, games and working files in a compatible computer. Performance was measured under manufacturer test conditions and varies with platform, firmware, drive fill level and workload. Usable capacity after formatting is below the nominal figure, and important data still requires a separate backup.
