Samsung 990 EVO Plus 2 TB is an internal 2 TB SSD using PCIe 4.0 x4 or PCIe 5.0 x2, NVMe 2.0 in the M.2 2280 format. The manufacturer rates sequential reads up to 7250 MB/s and writes up to 6300 MB/s. The endurance rating for this capacity is 1200 TB. It is suited to operating systems, applications, games and working files in a compatible computer. Before purchase, check the connector, protocol, physical clearance and BIOS support. Performance was measured under manufacturer test conditions and varies with platform, firmware, drive fill level and workload. Usable capacity after formatting is below the nominal figure, and important data still requires a separate backup.
