Description
AMD Ryzen 5 5600 is a Zen 3 desktop processor for the AM4 platform. It has 6 cores and 12 threads, a 3.5 GHz base clock, boost up to 4.4 GHz, 32 MB of L3 cache and a 65 W TDP. Its dual-channel controller supports DDR4 up to 3200 MT/s; the official speed can be lower with four modules depending on memory ranks. The processor exposes 24 PCIe 4.0 lanes, 20 usable by devices, and requires a discrete graphics card. AMD lists X570, X470, X370, B550, B450, B350 and A520 chipsets, but compatibility and the required BIOS version must be checked against the specific board CPU support list. The Wraith Stealth cooler applies to the boxed PIB version; OEM/Tray supply may not include a cooler.
