Intel Core i5-6500 Processor

Description

Intel Core i5-6500 is a Skylake desktop processor for the LGA1151 socket. Its four cores and four threads run at a 3.20 GHz base frequency and boost automatically up to 3.60 GHz. It has 6 MB of Intel Smart Cache and a 65 W TDP. The dual-channel memory controller supports up to 64 GB of DDR4-1866/2133 or 1.35 V DDR3L-1333/1600 memory. A discrete graphics card can use 16 PCIe 3.0 lanes. Integrated Intel HD Graphics 530 runs at 350–1050 MHz and supports up to three displays. The processor is intended for Intel 100 and 200 series motherboards; check the exact motherboard support list and required BIOS version. It is not compatible with 300 series boards despite the shared LGA1151 socket name.
